We cover Acton along Sierra Highway and Crown Valley Road, out through Aliso Canyon and Escondido Canyon, and across the parcels either side of Soledad Canyon Road. Acton is beyond our immediate Valley run, so we are often able to reach you the same day and otherwise book you first thing the next morning. Diagnosis and estimates are free, and we work 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM, seven days a week.
Acton is rural in a way almost nowhere else we serve is. Properties sit on acre-plus parcels with the house set well back, and it is normal to find more than one door on a lot: an attached garage, a detached shop or barn, and often a taller bay for a truck, trailer or horse trailer. Unpaved driveways mean grit gets everywhere, and grit in a roller bearing or a track is the single most common reason an Acton door starts grinding and eventually jumps the rail. The climate is the other factor. Hot dry summers, genuinely cold nights and a good deal of wind mean lubrication burns off, steel expands and contracts through a wide range, and weatherseal perishes faster than it would down in the basin. Doors up here need cleaning and re-lubricating more often than the manufacturer's schedule suggests, and it is much cheaper than the breakdown it prevents.
Spring, cable, roller, bearing, hinge and track replacement, off-track doors reset, opener repair and replacement including heavier-duty units for tall shop doors, and photo-eye safety sensors fitted where they are missing. Because the trip out is longer we bring what is needed to finish in one visit wherever possible, and we will check every door on the property while we are there rather than only the one that failed. Every visit ends with a balance test and a reverse test. Licensed and insured, California license #1149841.
