We cover Agoura Hills from the tracts off Kanan Road and Reyes Adobe to the neighbourhoods around Lake Lindero and Chumash Park, and out to the larger lots of Old Agoura. Same-day slots are usually available. Diagnosis and estimates are free, and we work 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM, seven days a week.
One of the most common calls we get from Agoura Hills is a door that starts down, stops and goes straight back up with nothing in its way. Nine times out of ten it is the photo-eye sensors rather than the door. They sit a few inches off the floor at either side, and they are easily knocked out of alignment by a bike, a bin or a car door. On a west-facing garage, low afternoon sun shining directly into the receiving eye will do the same thing, which is why the fault often appears only at a particular time of day. Debris in the bottom track, or a door that is out of balance and meeting resistance, will also trigger the reverse. It is a quick diagnosis and usually an inexpensive fix, and it is worth doing properly rather than taping the sensors or disabling them, because that reverse is the feature that stops a closing door on a child or a pet.
We realign, shield or replace photo-eye sensors, clear and true bottom tracks, replace springs, cables, rollers, hinges and bent track, reset off-track doors, and repair or replace openers. On the larger Old Agoura properties we also service taller doors on detached shops and barns. Every visit ends with a balance test and a reverse test. Most Agoura Hills calls come down to one of these. Diagnosis is free and the common parts are on the truck:
