It costs a little more up front and it is the better answer on any heavy door. In the older Village and college-area streets the question rarely arises, because those garages are narrow, detached and generally on extension springs that need containment cables more than anything else.
We calculate spring size from the actual door weight and fit single or paired torsion springs to suit, replace cables, rollers, hinges and track, reset off-track doors, add containment cables on extension-spring doors, and repair or replace openers. Photo-eye safety sensors are fitted where they are missing. Every visit ends with a balance test and a reverse test. Licensed and insured.
