Colton grew up around the rail yards, and the streets nearest the old centre still have small early-century and post-war homes with detached single garages set at the back of the lot. Those are among the oldest doors we work on anywhere: one-piece tilt-up panels, extension springs without containment cables, and openers retrofitted decades later without photo-eye sensors. Bringing one of those up to a safe standard is usually a modest job and long overdue. Further out the housing turns into 1970s and 1980s tracts with wide double doors, and up toward Reche Canyon there are rural lots with detached shops, taller doors and unpaved approaches where dust is the main enemy. Colton also runs hot for months at a time, which dries out lubrication and rollers faster than most of our service area.
We replace springs and fit containment cables, renew cables, rollers, bearings, hinges and track, free off and re-hang seized doors, reset off-track doors, and repair or replace openers, adding photo-eye safety sensors and auto-reverse where they have never been fitted.
