Hermosa is built at a density that changes how doors fail. A great many lots hold a duplex, triplex or two-on-a-lot, with one garage structure and a shared driveway serving several households. That door might be opened thirty or forty times a day between everyone using it, so it reaches the end of its spring cycle life in a few years rather than a couple of decades, and worn rollers and stretched cables follow close behind. Turnover is high in these properties too, which is why so many of our calls here start as a remote or keypad that no longer works, or a door that someone has forced after pulling the manual release. Access is tight, driveways are short and steep, and salt air from a couple of streets away corrodes the parts nobody inspects. On rental and multi-unit properties we can invoice the owner or manager directly.
We fit higher-cycle springs and nylon rollers on doors that get heavy use, replace corroded cables, hinges, bottom brackets and track, reset off-track doors, reprogram or replace remotes and keypads, and repair or replace openers with units rated for the traffic they actually get.
