We cover Monrovia from Old Town and the streets either side of Myrtle Avenue to the neighbourhoods along Foothill and Huntington Drive, and up the hill roads north toward Hillcrest and Canyon Boulevard. Same-day slots are usually available. Diagnosis and estimates are free, and we work 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM, seven days a week.
Monrovia has some of the oldest continuously lived-in housing in the San Gabriel Valley, with Victorians, Craftsman bungalows and 1920s homes on the streets around Old Town, most of them with a small detached garage at the end of a long driveway. Very few of those garages are a standard size any more. Over a century they have been widened, re-headed, re-roofed and patched, so the opening is an inch or two off, the header is low, and there is often no clean surface to mount a track or an opener rail to. That is why an off-the-shelf door and a builder-grade opener frequently do not work here and why measuring properly before quoting matters. Above Foothill the terrain takes over instead: short steep driveways up against the hillside, garages set below the house, and a lot of grit washing down into bottom tracks after rain.
We replace springs, cables, rollers, hinges and track, adapt track and mounting to non-standard openings and low headroom, reset off-track doors, clear and realign bottom tracks, and repair or replace openers, including wall-mounted units where there is no room for a rail. Photo-eye safety sensors are fitted where they are missing. Every visit ends with a balance test and a reverse test. Licensed and insured, California license #1149841.
Whatever the age of the garage, the fault is usually one of these. Diagnosis is free and the common parts travel with us:
