We cover Montecito from Coast Village Road and the lower village to the lanes off San Ysidro, Hot Springs and Sycamore Canyon Road, and the estates up toward Romero Canyon. Because it is a long run from our North Hollywood base we schedule rather than promise same-day, most often for the next day, and we work to an agreed window and gate arrangement. Diagnosis and estimates are free, and we work 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM, seven days a week.
Montecito properties tend to have more than one door and rarely a standard one: a main garage of two or three bays, often a separate service garage or converted carriage house, sometimes a guest house with its own. They are almost always heavy timber or clad doors chosen to match the architecture, hung behind hedged lanes and gates. Two things follow. Weight has to be respected, because a solid wood door takes up moisture through a damp coastal winter and can be measurably heavier by spring, which pulls the balance out and leaves the opener straining. And appearance cannot be compromised, so replacing a single damaged section, or sourcing to the existing design, matters more than speed. We work to appointments here, arrive when we said, and keep the property tidy.
We weigh and re-spring heavy custom doors, replace corroded cables, rollers, hinges and track, swap individual damaged sections to preserve a design, reset off-track doors, and repair or replace openers with quiet belt-drive units and battery backup. Coastal-grade hardware is used where the environment justifies it. Photo-eye safety sensors are fitted where they are missing. Every job ends with a balance test and a reverse test. However bespoke the door, the underlying fault is usually one of these. Diagnosis is free and the common parts travel with us:
