We cover Redlands from the historic streets around Cajon and Olive to the neighborhoods off Redlands Boulevard, Colton Avenue and Sunset Drive, the South Redlands hillside, and the newer tracts on the east side. Technicians work Redlands every day, so most calls put someone at the door inside 30 minutes, and we confirm the arrival window before we set out. Diagnosis and estimates are free, and we work 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM, seven days a week.
Redlands kept an unusual amount of its citrus-era architecture, and on the older terraces you still find carriage houses and stables from the 1890s and 1900s that were converted into garages at some point in the last century. They are wonderful buildings and awkward ones to fit a door to. Openings are often taller and narrower than any modern standard, headers are timber and a century old, and there is frequently no square surface to mount track or an opener rail to. Fitting an off-the-shelf door to one of those without addressing the structure is how you end up with a door that binds within a year. Elsewhere in the city the picture is ordinary suburban work: post-war tracts and newer east-side subdivisions with wide steel doors, where the long, very hot summers are hard on rollers, seals and opener electronics.
We adapt track and mounting to non-standard and historic openings, reinforce headers where an old structure will not hold hardware, replace springs, cables, rollers, hinges and bent track, reset off-track doors, and repair or replace openers. Photo-eye safety sensors are fitted where they are missing. Every job ends with a balance test and a reverse test. Licensed and insured.
Historic carriage house or modern tract, it comes down to one of these. Diagnosis is free and the common parts are already on the truck:
