Rosemead's housing is largely compact 1950s and 1960s homes that have stayed in the same hands for a long time, and one consequence is the sheer age of the openers still running here. We are regularly called to units from the 1980s and 1990s whose logic boards, gears and receivers are no longer made, where a replacement remote simply cannot be paired because the frequency and coding are obsolete. At that point repair stops being economical and the sensible move is a new opener with modern rolling-code remotes, a keypad, and proper photo-eye sensors, which many of these installations never had. The doors themselves are usually salvageable: single or narrow double panels that need springs, cables and rollers rather than replacement. We will tell you plainly which parts of the system are worth keeping.
We replace and program openers, remotes and keypads, fit working photo-eye sensors and auto-reverse, and replace springs, cables, rollers, hinges and bent track. Where an old opener can still be repaired we will repair it. Where it cannot, we will say so and quote a replacement instead of charging for parts that will not last.
