We cover the whole of 91340 inside the city limits, from the residential blocks off Kalisher, Celis and Huntington to the streets either side of Maclay and Brand, and the businesses along San Fernando Road and Truman Street. It is a short run north for our vans, so same-day service is usually available and urgent calls often get an earlier window. Diagnosis and estimates are free, and we work 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM, seven days a week.
San Fernando is its own city, older and denser than the neighbourhoods around it, and most of the housing is 1920s to 1950s bungalows and stucco homes on compact lots. A great many still have a single detached garage at the back of the property, reached down a narrow driveway or from an alley, and the doors on those are frequently the originals: one-piece tilt-up panels on extension springs with no containment cables, or early sectionals with hardware that has been repaired rather than replaced for decades. Tight access is part of the job here, and so is safety. Very often the door works but the opener has no photo-eye sensors, or the extension springs have nothing to catch them if they break. Along Maclay and San Fernando Road we also look after small commercial roll-ups on shops and workshops, where a stuck door means the business cannot open.
We replace springs and fit containment cables, renew cables, rollers, hinges and track, reset off-track doors, repair and replace openers, and add working photo-eye sensors and auto-reverse where a system never had them. When an old one-piece door is genuinely finished we can fit a modern sectional in the same opening. Every visit ends with a balance test and a reverse test. These account for most of what we are called out to in San Fernando. Diagnosis is free, and the common parts come with us:
