We cover the City of San Gabriel throughout: the Mission District and the streets around Broadway and Mission Road, the neighbourhoods off Las Tunas, Del Mar and San Gabriel Boulevard, and the blocks either side of Valley Boulevard. Same-day slots are usually available. Diagnosis and estimates are free, and we work 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM, seven days a week.
San Gabriel is unusual in how sharply its housing is divided by era, often on the same block. Around the Mission and the older streets there are 1920s to 1950s bungalows and stucco homes with a small detached garage behind, typically still narrow, often on tired extension springs, sometimes long since converted to storage. Next door there may be a full rebuild from the last twenty years: a large two-storey house with an attached two or three-car garage and a wide, heavy insulated door. Those two need completely different work. The old ones need safety brought up to date, containment cables, sensors and a proper re-hang. The new ones are usually about weight and balance, because a wide double door carried on one torsion spring will not move at all when that spring goes, and the opener is not built to lift it. Along Valley and Las Tunas we also service roll-ups on shops and restaurants.
We replace torsion and extension springs, cables, rollers, hinges and bent track, reset off-track doors, repair and replace openers, fit containment cables and photo-eye safety sensors where they are missing, and service commercial rolling and sectional doors. On heavy modern doors we size the spring to the actual door rather than to whatever was fitted before. Every visit ends with a balance test and a reverse test. Old garage or new build, it usually comes down to one of these. Diagnosis is free and the common parts are on the truck:
