We cover Silver Lake around the reservoir and out across the hills: the streets off Silver Lake Boulevard and Armstrong, the blocks around Rowena and Hyperion, Micheltorena and Sunset Junction, and down toward Glendale Boulevard. Same-day slots are usually available, and we know which of these streets a van can actually turn around on. Diagnosis and estimates are free, and we work 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM, seven days a week.
Silver Lake is built on hills, so the classic arrangement here is a garage at street level with the house above it, reached by stairs. That has two consequences we deal with constantly. The first is noise and vibration: an old chain-drive opener and steel rollers under a bedroom floor are loud enough to wake the house, and by the time people call it is usually because a worn system has got noticeably worse. The second is space. These garages have very low headroom, the door opening is often narrower and shorter than standard, and there is nowhere to put a conventional opener rail, so a wall-mounted jackshaft unit is frequently the right answer. Add short steep driveways where a car sits nose-down against the door, and you get the other Silver Lake regular: a bottom section that has been nudged and a door that no longer seats or seals.
We replace springs, cables, hinges, bent track and worn rollers, fitting nylon rollers where noise matters, reset off-track doors, and repair or replace openers, including wall-mounted jackshaft and belt-drive units for low-headroom garages under living space. Photo-eye safety sensors are fitted wherever they are missing. Every visit ends with a balance test and a reverse test. Licensed and insured, California license #1149841.
