It is usually a straightforward fix, and it is worth doing properly rather than living with. Alongside that we still look after plenty of original 1950s doors on the older streets.
We re-spring doors to their actual weight, square and reset track, realign photo-eye sensors, replace cables, rollers and hinges, put off-track doors back, and repair or replace openers. On an older door we also fit containment cables and sensors where they were never there. Every visit ends with a balance test and a reverse test, so you can see the door is right before we leave.
