Valencia was built in planned phases rather than piecemeal, and that shapes the work in two ways. First, whole streets went up in the same year with the same door, the same spring and the same opener, so when one house calls about a broken spring, its neighbours are usually within a season or two of the same failure. Second, most of these neighbourhoods are governed by an HOA with rules on how a door may look, which matters the moment a panel is damaged beyond repair.
